Kanichiwa or
hi, my name's Tanonchon Suttichuay, but everyone calls me by my
nickname 'Care'. I'm a Mattayom 6 student of the English Program at
Kanlayaneesithammarat School. I've been studying here within the
English Program now for over five years. My English is now, I think,
very good and I'm not at all shy about talking in English to anyone
I meet.
I'm also a
student of Japanese of which I've been learning for the last two
years. In late 2004 I was lucky enough to win a Japanese
Governmental Scholarship which enabled me to join the '2004 SAJ
Invitation Program'. There were actually only two Thai students who
won this scholarship so I was very proud of myself. I only spent
three weeks in Japan but I loved every minute of it. I spent a few
days in Tokyo after which I took the 'Shin Kansen' (Bullet train) to
the north, as I had to attend the 6th annual Nippon Venture being
held in Yamanaka. I spent nine days here and it was really
enjoyable. It was while I was here in Yamanaka, I had the
opportunity to speak to and have dinner with the Crown Prince of
Japan.
After my time
in Yamanaka, I moved south again to stay in Narita, part of Chiba
Prefecture. Here I attended the 2004 International Scout Forum.
There were over 200 scouts here from coming from all over Asia,
Australia and America.
I had a very
good time whilst I was in Japan. I met some wonderful people, saw
some beautiful sights and improved my Japanese speaking skills. Now
I'm back here in Thailand, I have two more years of studying here
and then I can return to Japan to continue my studies. Ideally, I
want to be involved in medicine some time in the future so that is
what I'll be studying. |
