We have approximately 250 students with ages ranging from 11-18
years old. Typically all students study in Mattayom 1 to Mattayom 3
when which they have a choice on whether to continue within the
English Program or study more specialized subjects in the main
school. Mattayom is the Thai name for 'grade' and the equivalent in
the west is Grade: Mattayom 1 = Grade 7, Mattayom 2 = Grade 8 etc
etc. We have recently expanded our program and now have students
studying M1 all the way to M6 from where they head off to various
universities around the world. All students attend as day students
with some having a daily commute of over 100 kilometres - they say
it's worth it just to study at Kanlayanee!! See the links on the
left.
As well as studying within the program , Kanlayanee also takes its
students on a wide variety of interesting and exciting English
Camps. You can read all about them
HERE

The Kanlayanee English Program
both sends Thai students overseas and also plays host to foreign
students who come to Thailand to study for periods of up to one
year.
Foreign students who come to Thailand live with host families and
after their time here they have a very good grasp on Thai Culture as
well as having a fantastic life experience.

We have sent students to the USA, Panama and Japan in recent years.
This, on top of some of our group English Study Camps which have
been to The Philippines, Australia and the United Kingdom have been
a great opportunity for Thai students to perfect their English
skills. Our next English Study Trip is to San Francisco in the USA.
See the links on the left.

All good things have to come to an end at some time - and every year the
Kanlayanee EP has to say farewell to its longest serving students.
This happy but sad time is when all of the M6 students leave our
school and head off into the big wide world. The vast majority will
have a short time to relax before heading up to Bangkok and
even farther afield to continue their studies at various
universities.

It is amazing how such close friendships are formed, especially when
all the M6 students have studied together for at least six years,
some even longer. A celebration is held annually to mark this
graduation and all the students bring in gifts to give to their
friends. A very happy day ... but also a very sad day for many as
they say their goodbyes.
