Aj. Songsak
 |
|
|
Hi guys. My name's Songsak Musikong but I'm widely known as 'Neung(chai)'.
I've been here at KNEP for three years. I used to come in and help
around the office if needed and would sometimes
join camps or do a
little teaching. Now that I'm here full time, I find myself much
busier. We're lucky here in that we have a great team of people in
our office, and along with the fantastic students, Kanlayanee is
just a great place to work. I spend most of my spare time fishing as I
find it very relaxing. |

Ajarn Neung or P'Neung. I graduated from
Assumption University in 1999 and have been
working here at Kanlayanee since 2003. I have
many responsibilities here. As well as being a
teaching assistant I also have to look after the
financial affairs of the department and do other
general office duties. |

I'm a local girl from Nakonsithammarat so it is

an English teaching assistant.
I enjoy working here immensely and all the
students and my fellow staff members make it an

Hi,
I'm Montree and I'm in charge of the maintenance of all the
computers in the English Program as well as the smooth running
of the main computer lab and the e-classroom. I am from
Nakhonsithammarat and am pleased to be able to work in my home
province. I studied to become an Electrician at my local
university and finished studying there just over 4 years ago. I
like working at Kanlayanee because all of the staff and the
students here are so nice to me making it a pleasure coming to
work. I like working within the computer lab as messing about
with electrical things is what I am interested in. |

Hi, I'm Chumtang Jidachote and I'm the M3 social
studies teacher. I've been a teacher for over 10
years now and joined the Kanlayanee team 3 years
ago.
I really enjoy teaching here at Kanlayanee
because I have such wonderful co-workers and of
course, fantastic students! As a social studies
teacher I have travelled to a lot of different
countries to obviously gain more knowledge and
also I use my travelling as a way to gain
experience which in turn I can pass onto my
students. I love travelling and travel plays a
very big part in my life. I'm very happy to be
here. |

Hi! My name is Geraldine Daray but everyone
calls me Ajarn Gege. I was born and raised on
the Philippine Islands but have lived in
Thailand for 13 years. I have worked in Bangkok,
Ayutthaya, Prachinburi and for the last seven
years, since 2000, here in the EP of
Kanlayaneesithammarat School. I feel very
fortunate to be part of the EP and have and
still am thoroughly enjoying myself here. The
reasons I have enjoyed my stay so much are
varied; my fellow staff members, very helpful
colleagues and above all excellent students who
make me feel good even when I'm feeling low. |

My name is Daylene Doguiles. I’m
31 years old. I come from the Pearl of the
Orient Seas, the Philippine Islands. I am very
passionate about teaching! I’ve been teaching
for 10 years now and am still enjoying it. My
first job was as a computer teacher in the
Philippines. I have also worked as a teacher in
Khon Kaen and Yala. Now, I teach Science to M1
and M2 students here at Kanlayanee. It’s my 6th
year in NST and my 9th year in Thailand
altogether. I consider Nakhon as my second home.
I take pride in all students because they're all
very respectful and diligent. I am also glad to
have found good friends here who will be with me
through ups and downs. I love KNEP. |

Hi, my name is Beth and I'm one of the newest
recruits to the English Program. I'm a local
girl and an ex-student of the Kanlayanne English
Program too .... so I already knew some of my
colleagues because they were once my teachers!
After leaving Kanlayanee, I moved to Bangkok and
studied at Thammasat University and then once I
had gained my degree in Liberal Arts with a
major in English I was free to see the world. I
went back-packing around Vietnam and spent a lot
of time in the USA before returning to
Nakhonsithammarat and real life!

My name is Thomas Thomassen and I am now in my
eighth year here with the EP. The students we
have here are very good and they're willing to
study hard to achieve their goals. With a little
encouragement, they do try to use English as
much as they can and when they do, they make me
very proud indeed.
When I first arrived here I was the M2 English
teacher. Now my position has changed and I teach
computing and IT to all of the M1, M2, M3 and M4
students. |

Hi!
I first arrived in Thailand back in 2002 when myself and a
friend came for a holiday. It wasn't long after that that I once
again found myself on a flight back to a country that I had
fallen for. I was invited down to Nakhonsithammarat to visit a
friend working in the town. I was soon introduced to her boss
and before I knew it I was a teacher at a large secondary school
in Nakhonsithamarat. I worked there for 4 years teaching M4, 5 &
6 students which was very enjoyable but soon the time came to
move on and that is how I have ended up teaching at Kanlayanee.
Here I am the M2 Maths teacher, the M1 Science teacher. |

Ryan
 |
|
Hi,
my name is Ryan Opanasets, the M1 maths teacher.
I also teach conversational English to M4
students.
I hail
from
Braintree, Massachusetts in the USA. In 1997,
I graduated from Syracuse University in
Syracuse, New York. As
I was interested in living overseas, I earned a
TEFL certificate from the Boston Language
Institute in 2005. This helped me get my first
job in Thailand. I taught English, Math and
Science at Assumption College Ubon Ratchathani
for 2 years before coming to Nakhon Si Thammarat.
I hope to be a good citizen of this town and
discover the beautiful scenery nearby. |

Hi,
my name is David Bernard and I teach Maths to Mattayom 3
students and English to Mattayom 2 students. The pupils here are
really nice to teach, even if they can be a little noisy at
times. The thing that makes them good is their attitude Happy!
Teaching here in Thailand is very different from teaching in the
UK where I used to teach. The style here is a lot more relaxed
and the pace is slower. Quite a revelation, and a good one! I
completed a MSc in Information Security and Biometrics and I
also have a degree in Computer Science with a year in industry
along with a PGCE. |

Hi, I'm Colin and I'm 23 years old and hail from
sunny Scotland. This is my second year working
in Nakhon Si Thammarat and my first year working
for KNEP. I really like living in Nakhon Si
Thammarat. Last year I taught Pratom students,
so moving to a high school was a different but
rewarding experience.
I currently
teach Science the M3 and Core English to M2. I
enjoy teaching at Kanlayanee, the students and
the staff are very friendly and hardworking.

Hi,
I'm Luci. I am from Preston which is a city in the North West
of England, about 40 minutes on the train or in a car from
Manchester. I have been teaching in Thailand since 2008. I was
teaching for two years in Nakhon Phanom before I came to Nakhon
Si Thammarat. This is my first year at Kanlayanee school, here I
am teaching English to M3 and M6 students. The students are
really good and are work focused, you can always count on the
fact that they will try their hardest and they always make me
feel proud . |
