PHUKET and KOH PHI PHI 2004

2004 / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 / 2010

3rd - 5th March 2004

The day started with us all meeting up at school. Our names were checked and we were soon sitting on the bus for the journey to our first stop, Hat Nopporat in Krabi province. We had some fun on the way, singing songs and playing games and the time went  quickly. Soon we were all out on the beach at Nopporat doing more activities prior to having our lunches.

We left Nopporat at about 1pm and continued with our drive to Phuket. The journey through Phangnga was especially nice as the mountains and countryside are so beautiful. Once in Phuket we were shown our rooms, had a shower and then we all went to the fascinating 'Phuket FantaSea' show on Kamala Beach. We all had a lovely time watching the cabaret and looking at the animals. After the show we were back on the coach heading back to our accommodation. Back at base, we were all so tired and we quickly went to sleep wanting to be up bright and early for the following days activities. We rose early in the morning and after breakfast were back on the coach for the short trip to Rassada Pier to catch the boat to Koh PhiPhi. We were soon aboard the boat and tasting life on the high seas.

We could see Koh PhiPhi on the horizon and it certainly was beautiful. But before we could get off and explore Koh PhiPhi we all had the opportunity to do some snorkelling at the famous 'Maya bay', the location of the film 'The Beach'. The waters were crystal clear and we were able to see a wide range of colourful tropical marine life and lots of different species of exotic fish. Koh PhiPhi was very nice with 2 long white sandy beaches separated only by a narrow strip of land. It was here where we were given the chance to converse with the foreign tourists relaxing on the island. It was great fun and we had the chance to meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world. In the evening, we headed back to the mainland. As we had had such an exhausting day we were in a way glad to be able to go to sleep early. The following morning we boarded the bus, visited the Dulwich International School, the Phuket National Museum and then headed home arriving back in Nakonsithammarat at 7 in the evening.
