MERCEDES COLLEGE

Mercedes College is an all girls school situated just a short distance away from Milner College. Each afternoon, the Thai students would visit a place of interest in the Perth area. The afternoon of March 20th was no different. Today the Kanlayanee students would be visiting Mercedes. We walked the short walk to Mercedes College and were met by some of the staff and students. They first gave us a tour of their wonderful school, showing us around their computer labs, classrooms and their swimming pool. After our tour we all met up in the college's library, and after getting changed into our Thai costumes, we gave played our Thai musical instrument and then gave a demonstration of some traditional Thai dancing. At first, our audience enjoyed just watching but after a little bit of encouragement, we managed to get the Mercedes' students and staff up dancing with us. I think they really enjoyed it because there were smiles and laughter everywhere. Thank you very much Mercedes for allowing us to have a look around your campus and for giving us such a warm welcome.
