M2 VISIT KHANOM BEACH 2008

2004 / 2006 / 2007/ 2008 / M2 2008

18th January - 19th January 2008.

The Golden Beach Hotel is where we stayed at in Khanom.

  Day1

It was a normal Friday, just like every Friday except this one was to be a little different. Normally M2 students go to Krung Ching for their 2nd English Camp of the year (we were all in Malaysia last month!). This year however had seen some very heavy rain and with Krung Ching being a long walk from into the jungle, it was decided that we would go to Khanom instead. So after our normal day of lessons, all the M2 students met up in the computer room and played on the internet until about 4o'clock when we were all accounted for.

We were all there, so we all boarded the coach that was to take us to Khanom. Some of the other teachers drove their own cars so the only teachers we had on the coach were Dr Holger, Aj Gege and AJ Mayuree. Soon the bus pulled away from Kanlayanee and we were on our way. During the trip we played some games and sang some songs to pass away the 2 hours the trip would take.

After a couple of hours the coach pulled up in front of The Golden Beach Hotel and we all got off and stretched our legs. Even though we had already done a full day at school, and traveled on a coach for two hours, once we saw the sea we were all wide awake again. We couldn't swim in the sea because the waves were a bit too big but we did play a few games. After playing our games it was time for some food. P'Big, Aj Geordie's wife made the food and it was delicious.

When we had finished eating, we all went away in our groups and prepared for the shows that we were to put on later in the evening. Later on, we heard Aj Thomas's loud voice and we all joined together again. In our groups, we all put on a show for everybody else who was there on the camp. Some shows were very funny while others ... well ... they were ok.

After the shows we had some snacks and then we all headed off to our rooms for showers and sleep.

Day2

It was 6 o'clock in the morning when we were all up because we were going to go swimming. The waves were still a little bit too big but they were decreasing in size and it wasn't too long before we were out there playing in the sea. The sea, even though it was still early morning was quite warm and everyone who went swimming really enjoyed it.

Breakfast time came after our time in the sea. The breakfast was ok and then at around 8 o'clock we all went outside again to take part in the English Camp activities. We played many different games all through the morning and before we knew it, it was lunchtime. We had our lunches and then we had a volleyball competition on the sand court that was at the hotel.

After the volleyball we had some more snacks, played a game where you write on the person's back and then it was soon time to board our coach for the return trip down to Nakhonsithammarat and to meet up with our families again.
