Day One: Another year is upon us again and so another Khanom Beach Camp too. Each year Kanlayanee takes all of the new Mattayom One students to Khanom Beach for a 'get to know each other' English Camp. This year was no different and at 07:00 on Thursday 1st May, our coach left Kanlayanee and headed north for the 140km trip to Khanom Beach. The day had begun a little earlier with everybody meeting up in Kanlayanee at around 6 in the morning. All the students were excited to be going and couldn't wait for their trip to begin.
Everybody arrived on time so after we had all been accounted for, we boarded the coach and set off. Our English teacher Ajarn Gege was with us and she kept us busy singing songs and playing all kinds of different games. Because we were having so much fun on the coach we didn't realize that the time was passing so quickly and before we knew it, our coach was pulling up outside The Golden Beach Hotel on Khanom Beach. This is where we were to be staying for the night. We collected our bags and put them all together as Ajarn Thomas wanted us all to get together so that we could play some games on the grassy area in front of the hotel. We played lots of games, some were very good and some were very tiring. When we had finished we were allowed to go into the sea to swim. Ajarns Mark and Thomas looked after us while we were in the water. It was really good fun. After a time we all got out of the sea as it was time for lunch. We ate our lunch and then were given some freetime.
We all felt much better and soon it was time to sing more songs and play more games. We played rotational games, spending 20 minutes with each of the teachers. Some of the games were very energetic and some of them were quite easy but they were all fun to play. We were given some more freetime afterwards allowing us time to practice for our 'shows' that we were going to perform in later on in the evening. Soon it was time for our evening meal and when we had finished, we were given a little more time for practice.

The evening quickly came and we were all excited as we were about to perform for everyone else. We all met up in the Conference Room of the hotel and sat down. Then, group by group we performed on the stage in front of everyone else. It was good fun and I think that everybody enjoyed themselves very much. After our shows we went upstairs to our rooms and slept as it had been a long day for us.
Day Two: We all woke early this morning so that we could go and play in the sea. The sea was a little cold but very calm so it was good for 'waking' us up. Once we had finished playing in the sea we went back to our rooms to shower before heading back downstairs to have some breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. We had our breakfasts and then we all met up in the area across from the hotel for some more fun activities. We did various things for a couple of hours before being shown how to make sandwiches by Ajarn Geordie. Then, for our lunches, we all had to make our own sandwiches which was quite funny to watch. After lunch it was time for us to go so we put our bags onto the coach and set off on the journey back to Nakhon. It was a good camp which we all really enjoyed. We can't wait for the next one!
