90th Anniversary

The 90th Anniversary of Kanlayaneesithammarat School

1918 - 2008

Friday 6th June 2008 saw Kanlayaneesithammarat School celebrating its 90th year anniversary. The day started with hundreds of students and staff, both past and present meeting up at Wat Sri Thawee. At precisely 9am the long parade started the 3km march back through the city centre to the assembly area of Kanlayanee.

There were crowds of people lining the streets for the entire route and as they approached the school, the students who had not been on the march started to get excited and cheer as the procession entered the school grounds. Once everyone was back in the school campus, various shows and presentations, games and quizzes were held for everyone to see and later on in the afternoon, the students performed a great concert. I really didn't realize that there was so much talent hiding in Kanlayanee! Everybody had a wonderful time and Kanlayanee is looking forward to its next 90 years.
